Interesting article. The one about the manteinance page is really important, i have been thinking about that for a couple of weeks.
Now, instead of showing a “Share to facebook” button only, i found that the “Sociable” plugin lets you add buttons to a really huge number of social networks, so you can choose wich ones are more important to you. For example: facebook, twitter and digg. It might worth check it out.
And in addition to the TinyUrl on the fly, its really usefull to have “Twiter Tools” or “Twit This”, that automatically sends your posts to your twitter account.
Yes, Sociable rocks!, but in some cases you need no plugin to realize some simple functions. But is true, plugins covers a wide range of possibilities.
